All Things Optic: Q1 2026
Q1 / A busy start to a year of building…
2026 is flying by, and with it, we have seen our busiest period to date here at Studio Optic. Our projects are growing in both scale and variety across all areas – branding, digital, reporting, investment campaigns, motion and video.
It has been really pleasing to build even further on some of our long-term partnerships – some now over 10 years in the making. We’re currently delivering Annual Reports and Sustainability communications for multiple, multi-billion pound energy and infrastructure organisations, including our tenth year of partnership with Tideway London.
Alongside this, our digital projects have continued to grow rapidly across the studio. We’ve recently completed the design of a bespoke sharing platform for a major energy-sector client, we’ve redesigned the website for a long-term battery technology company (with a super-fast turnaround), as well as a new website for our long-term defence and security client.
Our work across investor-facing communications has once again been in full swing, supporting multiple clients across Series C funding rounds with everything from bespoke investor presentations, explainer videos, and web-based content that bring key information into focus.
Outside of the studio, we’ve been busy capturing event video and photography for our US-based audio analytics client, Call Miner, marking our 6th year of working with them on their LISTEN UK event – the first stop of their 2026 global tour. To compliment this, we have also produced a suite of animations to bring their online content to life.
Brand identity work has also remained a huge part of our output. From a London-based consultancy and a new housing development, through to an exciting music and arts project currently under wraps, we’ve been helping shape brands across a wide range of sectors, each with differing audiences and ambitions.
Continuing the theme of building on existing relationships, we’ve enjoyed bringing to life a new colour chart for our friends at Fenwick & Tilbrook, which has since been enlarged up to exhibition size for Clerkenwell Design Week. And, on the topic of exhibition stands, we’ve had the pleasure of producing various stand designs for exhibitions all over the world – most recently for CCW in Las Vegas.
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been continuing work on our new home at Barbican Creative Hub, building a studio space that provides an inspiring creative environment and supports the next phase of growth for both our team and the work we produce.
The biggest takeaway from 2026 so far has been momentum. The increase in scale across our projects in the last 2-3 years has created opportunities to push further – creatively, strategically, and operationally – and that’s exactly what we’re focused on doing.
So, where is this month’s cycling link, I hear you ask? Well, other than the months of training ahead of hitting the gravel at this year’s Dirty Reiver event in April, we’re incredibly excited to be working with a well-known cycling-based brand in Girona to evolve their brand presence and deliver a completely new website.
So far, meetings have remained online but needless to say, in-person reviews with cycling-orientated ‘inspiration sessions’ are inevitable.
